The purpose of this site is to try to strengthen the faith of Christians everywhere, especially younger believers; to bring hope and steadfastness and to reiterate the foundational truths of Christianity amidst the debilitating effects of "Systematized Error" found, to greater or lesser degree, throughout the professing Christian world today.

In doing so, The author has no wish to overtly challenge or offend those who hold differing views or espouse other religions. The author's intention is simply to re-affirm the fundamental truths of Christianity in the same way that those of other persuasions are also perfectly entitled so to do. Phil Gulley

Is it too late?

Are you one of a multitude of Christians who feel that it has all gone horribly wrong but have no idea where to turn or, indeed, who to turn to?

Do you feel that the tide of error and compromise cannot be turned back now and anything you do or say will make no difference anyway?

Is the gagging and shackling effect of 'political correctness' driving you mad?

Are you a young, newly converted Christian who just cannot reconcile what Scripture teaches with what seems to be taught, condoned and regarded as acceptable in Christendom today? Are you puzzled and confused?

Do find yourself having to listen to politicians and other so called 'Experts in Their Field' explaining at length why society is in the state it is in; blaming breakdown in family life, a lack of things for young people to do, and a whole array of other social causes but seemingly unable or unwilling to acknowledge that the root cause is that we have turned our back on Christianity, the authority of Scripture and Christian values?

Do you despair when you see and hear religious and Church leaders striving for unity at the expense of the 'Truth' and performing the most ridiculous moral (if such a word can be used ) and ethical somersaults to accommodate everyone and reconcile the irreconcilable and all in such a patronising and pompous way?

In the pages that follow, I have attempted to touch on key areas of fundamental error that characterise Christendom today, whilst also drawing attention to some of the precious truths that should govern us as Christians and to which we should cling.

I hope that the selection of 'Preachings' and 'Thoughts and Comments' by the author, which appear later on this site, will also help to increase the readers awareness of the issues and shed some light on these important matters.

I do not regard myself as a Theologian or a student of religion but rather someone who from my youth accepted Jesus as my Saviour and Lord and have had the privilege of sitting at the feet of Godly men from whom I have received sound teaching based upon the authority of Scripture. I represent no denomination or sect, nor will you find that I encourage the reader to join any group. That misses the point altogether.

I acknowledge that I have been a wayward Christian and only comparatively recently been restored to “The Shepherd and Overseer of my soul.” I therefore write as one who has failed and have needed to repent of many things but I have also experienced God's forgiveness and the sufficiency of his grace. I would like to think that I am, therefore, able to approach these matters in an understanding and compassionate way.

I may well be labelled a 'Traditionalist' but if that means someone who recognises the Scripture as the inspired Word Of God, someone who recognises the teachings of the Lord and the Apostles and recognises the special ministry given to Paul in respect of the formation and maintenance of Christ's Church on earth (in his absence)…….then I gladly accept that label and rejoice in it.

You may wonder why I have not highlighted the threat to Christianity from Islam. That is a subject for another time. I believe Christendom has done a better job of undermining and weakening Christianity than Islam could ever do or needs to do and the purpose of this site is not to focus upon external threats but rather those that come from within as we compare Paul's vision of Christ's Church with what Christendom has sadly become.
